1. Culloden Battlefield
Bonnie Prince Charlie ran from Culloden House buckling on his sword to fight the last land battle on British soil here. Museum & battlefield maintained by National Trust of Scotland.

2. Cawdor Castle
The "most romantic castle in the Highlands".  Stylish small castle & gardens. Shakespeare chose it for the setting of Macbeth.

3. Loch Ness and Urqhuart Castle
Let us book you a small boat cruise on the loch where you can search for the elusive Nessie. Afterwards tour the ruins of the much fought over Urqhuart Castle, now maintained by Historic Scotland.

4. Golf Courses
We can reserve you time on any of thirty-three courses within an hour's drive of Culloden House including Championship courses such as Royal Dornoch, Nairn or the Castle Stuart Links located just 2 miles from Culloden House.

6. Fishing
Some countries boast bigger and better salmon runs but nothing compares with a Scottish salmon.  Culloden has four fly fishing beats on the Findhorn River.  Allan Bell is your Ghillie and no one knows the river better than him.

7. Whisky 
Whisky tastings an be arranged for you at Culloden.  With over 120 Malt Whiskies to choose from in our Library Bar, some of which are rare and cannot be found anywhere else, you can take a tasting tour of all six whisky producing regions of Scotland. 40 miles from Culloden House you'll find the Whisky Trail of Speyside. You can take distillery tours, see how this celebrated liquor is created, and then enjoy a sample or two.  For a closer option Glen Ord distillery is 12 miles away. 

8.  Shooting
A Grouse on the Glorious Twelfth or maybe even a Trophy Stag. Culloden works alongside some of the best professionals in the Highlands and can offer you shooting on some of the top Highland estates, most lasting 2-5 days.

9. Clava Cairns
Standing stones and cairns at the remains of an ancient cemetery -  one of Scotland’s most evocative prehistoric sites.

10. Dunrobin Castle
Duke of Sutherland's castle & gardens.  Wonderful falconry display, well worth a visit.
